Welkam lo website blo mifala ("welcome to our website" in the local pidgin). A lot has happened in the world of Tulagi Dive in the last few years, most notably that we relocated our operations to the Point Cruz Yacht Club in Honiara. The move to Honiara started as a financial and marital necessity, and we're pleased to say that both have improved dramatically as a result.
The Solomon Islands is located to the north east of Australia. Iron Bottom Sound is bordered by the islands of Guadalcanal, Savo and the island group known as Ngella (aka "Florida Islands"). The Solomon Islands and its tropical waters are home to some of the world’s most prolific array of marine life. The Iron Bottom Sound gets its name from the large amount of ships and aircraft that were lost during World War 2.
Moving base to Honiara allows us to cover diving on both sides of Iron Bottom Sound. Sites are within a short drive or boat ride on Guadalcanal. The Ngella group is about an hour away by boat, with most sites being close to Tulagi. We either do Tulagi as a day trip or for a few nights' stay (minimum number requirement for Tulagi trips).
