Tiliva Resort is ideally placed where you can scuba dive The Great Astrolabe Reef. The reef surrounds the north/north eastern half of Kadavu and is about 100km long, making it the fourth largest barrier reef in the world. The resort is only minutes away from some of the world famous dive sites - eg. Naiqoro Passage, Vessi Passage with Waisomo Reserve being just across the bay from Tiliva Resort. The reef boasts a variety of stunning hard coral outer reef slopes in wonderous colours and some steep coral drop offs. The dive sites here offer a tremendous variety with several passages and submerged pinnacles.
Most of the dive sites are easy access by a very short boat ride from Tiliva Resort.
Diving is suitable for all from the advanced to the novice. There are no crowds - it is not unusual to be the only dive boat out on the reef so there is room for everyone to enjoy The Great Astrolabe Reef.
There are drift dives, swim throughs, soft and hard coral, sea fans which are brilliantly coloured and a multitude of marine life waiting to be seen.
We normally do a two tank dive in the mornings a further dive can be arranged for the afternoon for the keen and energetic diver.
