Book A Dive Center OnlineUnless you are in the business and attending the festival, it's probably best avoided. Otherwise come for the associated glamour, the beaches, the scenery and the many attractions that have had people flocking to the Cote D’Azur for many years.

Popular dive sites are around Iles de Lerins which are less than 30 min boat ride from Cannes. There are some 40 sites for all levels which include reef with colourful sponges and gorgonian fans. There are drop offs and wrecks too where you are likely to encounter grouper hiding and barracuda stalking the blue.
Divers are likely to encounter torpedo and sting ray, octopus, cuttlefish, moray. Watch out for the little and hidden critters too as the eagle eyed will find scorpion fish, nudibranch and sea hares. John Dory, breams and dogfish are all popular fish to spot too.If you are lucky, during summer, you might just spot dolphins on your cruise to the dive site.

People watch at the expensive eateries by the water or for something more reasonable head to the Rue Meynadier . For a romantic time head to the old town, partiers should head to rue des Frères Pradignac or one of the many clubs to dance the night away.

Wander along the Promenade de la Croisette and take in the beaches, explore the old town, enjoy the history and culture presented by the many museums, visit the cell of The Man in the Iron Mask or take a trip to the Ille Sainte-Marguerite, Ill de Lerins. Cannes is also a shoppers paradise with a fabulous selection of boutiques.

There’s a playground and a fair ground at either end of the Croisette and some of the private beaches organise activities for children too. Just outside of Cannes is a zoo and quite some horse riding options too.
