visa mozambique

Hi guys,

we are diving in mozambique this summer. We arrive in johannesburg and first go to durban, then from there we will go to ponta do ouro. Does anybody have had any problems getting a visa for mozambique at the border?

Kind regards,

Lisa

Hi Lisa.. it seems not to many people have been able to help. I suggest dropping a few dive centers a mail (you can do this through the site easily enough) and ask them their thoughts. They are usually able to advise on these things as staff are often international! - Cat :)

Hi Lisa, Just came back from Tofo, Mozambique. While we arranged visa before departure, I've seen many people getting visa on arrival at the Inhambane airport

If you country of origin have a Mozambique embassy, a tourist visa is required to entry the country, if not visas can be obtained at the airport.

No the netherlands do not have an embassy than we would have to go to belgium. We enter mozambique via south africa so we would be able to buy a visa at the border, I guess?

Hi Lisa, there isn't normally an issue getting a visa at the border. Seems it doesn't make a difference whether you drive or fly or even which border you pass through

Hi Lisa, we got our visas at Maputo airport when we arrived. There was a long cue but we had it sorted within 5o minutes or so. No need to worry about these.
